STAR 1

To be eligible for our STAR1 Program the skater must be assessed by one of our professional coaches.  Upon their recommendation, the skater may then register for this session. Please email the Club to arrange for an assessment.

Program Description:  Skaters will be introduced to jumps, spins, edges, footwork, dances and skills.  We maintain small classes to allow for individual attention.  Two sessions a week are recommended consisting of on-ice lessons and off-ice enrichment.  STAR 1 off-ice includes flexibility training, stretching, body awareness and conditioning exercises.  Precise muscle area workouts are designed to enhance personal development in figure skating.

NO skating on Nov 11 and Dec 19.

Skaters must bring their own skates, skate guards, helmets and gloves.

Skaters should arrive at the facility dressed and ready to go.  Please proceed to the rink doors at the bottom of the stairs. There will be a volunteer present to conduct a verbal Covid screening questionnaire. The facility will open the doors 10 minutes prior to the start of the session. Only one family member will be briefly permitted inside the facility to assist with tying of skates. There are no spectators permitted inside the facility. One family member may re-enter 3 minutes prior to the end of the session to assist with untying of skates and all skaters must exit 5 minutes after the session ends.

Skaters must bring their own labeled water bottle, there will be no access to water fountains.

Monday: Outdoor Off Ice 4:00pm - 4:45pm and On Ice 5:00 - 6:00 pm.  (Once weekly session time)

Wednesday:  On Ice 4:00-4:45 pm and Outdoor Off-Ice 4:55-5:25. (Twice weekly Wed/Sat package)

Saturday: On Ice 11:00-11:45 am and Outdoor Off-Ice 10:15-10:45. (Twice weekly Wed/Sat package)

The online invoice will automatically add $43.65 Annual Skate Canada Fee.  

PLEASE NOTE: Fees MUST be paid before skaters step on the ice.

Wednesday/Saturday sessions are a package. Wednesday On Ice from 4:00pm to 4:45pm and Outdoor Off Ice from 4:55 to 5:25pm. Saturday sessions are Outdoor Off Ice from 10:15 am to 10:45 am and On Ice from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.
